Road cycling event
Cranksgiving Boise is an annual alleycat-style scavenger hunt on bikes. Teams of costumed cyclists ride around town on an oddessy to find the answers to trivia questions about local art and history, while also gathering all the items necessary to fill Thanksgiving food boxes that will be donated to Saint Vincent de Paul for its program that helps feed families in need throughout the Treasure Valley. This is the 11th Annual edition of this fun biking event. Cranskgiving Boise will take place on Saturday, November 21st, starting and ending at Idaho River Sports, 601 N Whitewater Park Blvd., Boise. Packet pick-up starts at 10:00 a.m., with the event starting promptly at 11:00 a.m. The ideal Cranksgiving team is four people. While teams can have up to six riders, if you have more riders than that, we strongly encourage you to create another team. The goal is to feed as many families as possible and having more teams helps achieve that goal. We are charging a modest $10 to register a team to cover our costs of hosting registration on this website and other expenses involved with staging this event. Costumes are encouraged! There will be prizes for the first three teams by time, for the team bringing in the biggest turkey, and the teams with the best costumes, as decided by a vote of participants. Cranksgiving is made possible this year by the generous support of Ketlinski Law Office. For the latest information on Cranksgiving Boise, visit our Facebook page.
